IFCC Galakkan Standarisasi Hutan, Dorong Masyarakat Makin Ramah Lingkungan

Indonesian Forestry Certification Cooperation (IFCC) menggalakkan standarisasi atau sertifikasi hutan.

Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi dan mencegah kerusakan hutan. 

IFCC adalah organisasi nasional yang menginisiasi penyelenggaraan sertifikasi kehutanan di Indonesia dengan skema Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

PEFC merupakan sistem sertifikasi hutan terbesar di dunia dengan 43 anggota dari negara-negara di dunia.

Ketua Umum IFCC, Dr Ir Dradjad Hari Wibowo, M Ec mengatakan, organisasi yang dibentuk 9 September 2011 ini bertujuan menyelesaikan permasalahan Indonesia mengenai penggunaan hasil hutan, khususnya kayu, yang dianggap merusak dan mengancam kelestarian hutan di Indonesia.

Hutan dapat menghasilkan berbagai produk yang dapat kita gunakan sehari-hari, contohnya adalah kertas dan tisu. Kertas dan tisu yang kita gunakan akan lebih terasa manfaatnya apabila berasal dari hutan yang dikelola secara lestari. Mari gunakan produk berlabel PEFC / IFCC untuk mendukung pengelolaan hutan lestari di Indonesia!
